Jamie J. Edmondson

About
Jamie Edmondson is a writer and director based in Los Angeles. His work is a blend of theatrical storytelling, whimsical design, and an exploration of the human truth through absurdism.
Jamie studied directing and writing at the University of Florida’s School of Theatre and Dance, where he graduated with his feature film The Lemonade Files: The Untold Story of the Missing Shoes. The film, a colorful mystery adventure following two teens unraveling the secrets of their small town, won Best Comedy at the 2024 Los Angeles Film Festival.
Since then, Jamie went on to write/direct Proscenium, a queer horror short produced with Divergent House Studios, currently set for the 2026 festival circuit. Alongside directing, Jamie works as a full-time screenwriter at ReelShorts, where he has written across multiple high-performing projects, including The Lost Quarterback Returns (over 140 million views) and How I Made the Alpha Mine, the platform’s first queer romance series.
Jamie’s original spec work has also received festival recognition, including Before the Credits Roll, a meta, genre-bending screenplay about two estranged brothers trapped inside a cinematic multiverse of their own lives. The script was a Semi-Finalist at Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival and a Second Rounder at the Austin Film Festival.
